Hi, my name is Annie, I run Shorebreak B&B with my husband Graeme who works locally. Both my husband and I absolutely love where we live, in the coastal town of Bude in North Cornwall .
We have lovely turned our home into a B&B and holiday let. We fell in love with this house particularly because of its location 500 meters from the beach. It was in need of renovation which Graeme and undertook ourselves, it was no small task. It did help that Graeme is a competent plumber and electrician. We loved our house renovation project, and now have so much pride in our home. We have designed Shorebreak so that it is ideally suited to being a B&B, holiday let or a family home.
We both love the lifestyle of Bude, throughout the seasons. Whether it’s BBQ’s on the beach, swimming in the sea or walks along the beach after a winters storm. Outside of the busier periods we run our home as B&B but in busier times we move out to our Annex and rent the whole house out as a holiday home which gives me a little break from cooking all those hearty breakfasts.
We couldn’t think of a better place to live.
We love to come off the beach, get our wetsuits off under the hot outdoor shower then grab a beer and relax in the hot tub. The hot tub even has a wire line to hang your wetsuits around. From the hot tub you can go straight into the downstairs wet room shower.
Of an evening we often love to go down the beach to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. It’s a west facing beach and has amazing sunsets. It’s great that it is all so close by.
The parking is outside on the road and is unrestricted. As we are only 500 meters from the beach, pubs and cafes, and only a ten minute walk from Bude town centre, we often find people park up and don’t tend to use the car
